  • 2006 Jetta Turbo FSI

    Hi guys!

I just bought an 06 jetta turbo and have a couple of questions about it. It has 92000kms and it drives really really well and it's always been serviced at volkswagen. One thing I notice is that when I start it theres a slight jerk when the engine turns on. Is this normal?

Possibly it is one or more of the mounts, they are soft straight from the factory to make the driving experience more comfortable but after a reasonable number of kilometres like 92k they are even softer. The test on wether to replace is to see if there is exess wheel hop under strong acceleration from a start or low speed. I have a 2008 Jetta with 111k and am about to change the lower engine mount and install an anti lift kit.

The acceleration is very smooth even when I go at the throttle hard. I feel like it could be the spark plug?
