R32 Mk5 CV Joint Issue??

Hey mate. That is a shocking albeit not surprising story. Barloworld you should be ashamed of yourself. I hope you've made an appointment with the dealer principle to show him the dash cam footage.

As for the noise, I'd be pretty certain that's the RH cv joint clicking. Doesn't make sense that a heat shield knocking on the steering rack would increase in frequency as the speed increased, CV however it does make sense.

If you have no luck with the dealer principle your next bet is to involve a consumer protection agency. Does NSW have a vehicle industry ombudsman?

Yeah that's what i thought about the heat shield, yet again they are fobbing me off so they don't have to cover things under warranty. I have lodged a complaint with Fair Trading and i'm waiting for the dealership manager to call me back as i'm over this car and want to return it unfortunately.
