  • Mk5 Engine Cover

    Hi everyone,

I am just wondering if anyone can lend me an engine cover? Better off, if anyone wants to sell one? 2.0l turbo one, i just need it to pass RWC, and later on i will buy an after market one to fit in. Mine one got damaged and you can now see the air filter from outside the engine cover, that is why they don't pass me the RWC check. Any help is appreciated. I am in Melbourne Ascot Vale.

    Cheers

Did you buy the car or are you selling it?

The engine cover has nothing to do with whether its RWC or not i thought.

Its mainly a check list of brakes, seat belts, windscreen.

Go see some lebo mechanics who issue RWCs.

Thanks for the reply guys, i am buying a car. I ended up ordered one from the stealer. cost me $540 damn stupid plastic shxt now so expensive. The guy who done the RWC told me that i need to have the engine cover on. Aftermarket one is not good enough. No choice

They guy who told you that is having you on...The engine cover has nothing to do with the car being road worthy.
