Dear all,
Just to let you know, I got my brand new Jetta a few weeks ago, and was complaining of wipers having chatter especially in heavy rain - people of the board recommend rainex etc or replace wipers.
What I didn't mention is since purchase, I noted my windscreen was distorted with 'lines' throughout it. As I would pan across the windscreen looking left to right - the outside would not appear straight.
Took this to VW this week and they agreed. Got my windscreen replaced yesterday and clarity is perfect. Also the windscreen chatter has been fixed too (may not be related to the replaced windscreen replacement - maybe they fixed the wipers? )
