Mk5 boost issue

My 2007 2.0 tdi has developed this weird issue since driving it yesterday. When the turbo kicks in just under 2k revs it seems like it's a tiny bit low on boost. And the noise it makes is a little off. The slight turbo whistle u can usually hear seems to be really loud. Can hear over road noise which u usually can't? Anyone have any experiences like this or know what it could be? Any help would be great.

You might have a boost leak somewhere, by the sounds of things.

That's what I thought. Gonna take it in tomorrow and get it checked. Don't like driving when its not feeling quite right.

Does it sound like a small squeal when it comes on boost for a split second?

nah just a continuous sound, very similar to regular boost sound, just much louder.

Mechanics said they found a hole in the intake pipe. we shall see, hopefully that will sort it. Just need to wait till tomorrow till the part comes in from Melbourne.
