Correct Manuals MY08 GTI

Just got my new GTI last week. I'm very happy with it, except from the service I've received from the dealer.

Looking through the manual, I noticed that its made up of individual booklets. Some of these seem to be generic Golf, other mention the GTI. I'd like to know that I've got the right manuals that apply to the GTI. Two of them seem really wrong:
* 3.3 Technical Data is for Golf, mentions all engines except for the GTI
* 3.4 Radio also is completely different to the GTI's one.

Can someone who's got an MY08 GTI tell me if these manuals are all correct:
0.1 General Context list and alphabetical index: Golf
2.1 Safety First: Golf, Golf Plus, Golf GTI
3.1 Controls and Equipment: Golf
3.2 Tips and Maintenance: Golf, Golf Plus, Golf GTI
3.3 Technical Data: Golf (Doesn't have GTI engine)
3.4 RCD 300: Radio (doesn't have GTI radio)

The last two definitely seem wrong, but not sure about 3.1....I want to avoid asking the dealer, since I know the answer I'll get is "Oh yeah their all ok"....just so they don't have to do any work.

What is the "GTI' radio.
My understanding was that unless you get the optional sat nav then you get the RCD-300.

The GTI has a 6 stacker, where as the manual only talks about a single disc uni.t

I have a 2007 model, but it would appear you have some of the wrong manuals, I have:

3.1 Controls and Equipment: Golf GTI
3.2 Tips and Maintenance: Golf, Golf Plus, Golf GTI
3.3 Technical Data: Golf GTI
3.4 RCD 500: Radio

It should also have come in a leather bound folder with a GTI badge on the front.

yeah same here leather bound folder in the glovebox with the proper radio manual in it. Mine is one of the first MY08 models.

$3000 dealer delivery....wheels weren't balanced, steering wheel at 11 o'clock....wrong set of manuals...love the car, I just hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

Hey mpecher I have an my08 and looking at the manuals I got the following:

1.1 Passenger Vehicles - Service Schedule
2.1 Safety First: Golf, Golf Plus, Golf GTI
3.1 Controls and Equipment: Golf
3.2 Tips and Maintenance: Golf, Golf Plus, Golf GTI
3.3 Technical Data: Golf GTI
3.4 RCD 500: Radio

The last 2 definately are wrong. When I drove away my car from the dealer I realised 20 kms later they only gave me only 1/3 tank of juice. I couldn't believe it and didn't even notice it while I was at the dealer. I filled it up that day after doing probably 30 more kms. If they go by a checklist then there should never be any problems.
