Happen to be in the gong this afternoon.. seems a certain boat has pulled into dock today.. one that is full of new VW's!!!!! Whose waiting on one??? And have you been nice to santa to deserve it!!!!
Took off from Brisbane airport last Saturday week and saw the ship (docked) that my car was on!
Actually, that doesn't sound that exciting outside my head!
Hahaha made me laugh though!!! Hey least you didnt actually go to the dock that the ship was at that your car was in!!! Like someone who shall remain nameless.....

Probably just as well I didn't know where it was going to dock then!

Was that certain boat the Tortugas??? My baby arrived in Port Kembla on that boat today. You might have even seen it!
The dealer's claiming my car won't be in the country until 27/2/08 despite me tracking online using the VIN. They're obviously just trying to buy themselves more time

Indeed my good man the ship was called the 'Tortugas'. So now we wait some more.. least the car is in the same country now!

That's wierd. My car was unloaded in Brisbane on the 9th was through customs on the 13th and is ready today! I wasn't expecting the call so early as they said 2 weeks.

Ahem.. HE would have hassled dockies BUT there seems to be this thing called trespass laws into bonded customs areas!!! And be damned you can't actually see the car come off the boat, just a whole heap of VW's lined up on the dock. Least I.. oops HE knows that said vehicle is in the country!!1

That's fast! Only a week for discharge from the port to your hands! :w00t:
When you guys were tracking your car when was it trackable from.?
Mine was in production on 30 Jan, due to leave plant on 8 Feb and due at the dispatch port on 11 Feb then due to arrive at the Melbourne port on 13 march.
All dates provided by dealer.
Looking on the tracking website at shipping schedules the ship that i presume my car will be on doesnt leave port until 27 Feb and doesnt arrive at Melbourne until 16 March.
When i put my vin in the website it says "no info available for that cargo id you entered."
Is this because the ship hasnt sailed yet.??

Forget the dates the dealer gives you they are never right, the dates for my vehicle changed 4 times The shipping company wont know about your car till its booked to go on a vessel, I wouldnt worry just yet as more than likely its sitting ready to go. BTW when my vehicle was getting shipped the boat left port and it wasn't till a day later the car was able to be tracked via the website. Best advice I can give is to forget you have a car on order, saves heaps of BS. It will get here in its own time.. heck mine is still out there on a dock waiting to clear customs, it all happens in its own time
anyone with a car on the tortugas heard from their dealer about a delivery time? According to the car tracking website my GTI's been sitting at the ports for the past 12 days
