  • Recent Change to Service Schedule?

    Good Afternoon everyone!

So I just ticked over to 105,000km and my Mk5 GTI is due for it's service. I wasn't so concerned about this service as it'll be fairly cheap compared to the upcoming 120,000km service with the DSG...

    Or so I thought...

Turns out there was a recent change in the VW Service Scheduling where 105,000km now includes Timing Belt and Water Pump changes. That just bumped the service cost up $1,000~!

I just want to know if this is actually confirmed true or not. Also to see if anyone had recently done their 105,000km service on their VW.

    Thanks!

Water pump isn't part of the schedule, but it's highly recomended.

If it's through the dealer, stipulate an exchange genuine water pump. About half the price of buying a new one outright, and absolutely no difference in quality.
