looking at buying a 2006 tdi jetta, what to look for?
Hey guys so as it states Im wanting to buy a tdi jetta. Any pro and cons to look out for? Costing for services being a tdi compared to fsi?
If you guys can think of anything dont hesitate to let me know haha
Cheers Anthony
DSG or manual? 103 or 125kw. I am guessing you can get all combinations. DSGs need servicing every 60K, no clunking. 125kw have had a recall on injectors and wiring. 103kw not affected.

Otherwise a pretty solid buy IMO

6 speed dsg, 2.0l so im guessing 103 kws. Servicing expensive for the dsg? The car has 104k kms on the clock.
Make sure its had one DSG service. The oil is the expensive part of the job. Transporter would have the filler tool to do it I am sure. Maybe even have him check it out for you.
Can't just guess on the engine, best to go and look. Seems good value though.
The car is not far from me, I could swing by on Monday, to check it for you if you like. I will have some time to burn, waiting for my T5 to have the tailgate replaced at the ME Dale Crash shop just around the corner.
Its a car wholesaler so he wont have it monday, he advertises it for 24hrs then sells it to dealers and they sell it for 13k+ , full service history from solitaire here in adelaide. $10888 is a good deal i think since ive been looking and couldnt find any at this price with everything ive been looking for. Looks like its a done deal to me haha!!

iTS Very cheap, and looks very good,so I think worth checking out ASAP.Jettas are great,as they come feature packed. What do you drive at the moment, and what others,if any,are you considering ???
Sounds a deal (especially) if the timing belt/105k service has been done and it drives well. You have driven it, haven't you?
You will require a DSG service @ 120ks. It's a cost, not a millstone. About $900 including the scheduled service.
Good luck I hope you're able to make the purchase.
Cheers,
Richard
