  • Seatbelt Warning

Does anyone know if this can be turned off, its really annoying, and i think ive been driving long enough to remember to put it on by now. Ive got quite a long private driveway that i put the car down every night into the garage and it wont shut up until i put my belt on.

Maybe via vag com you could disable it. That would be the only way otherwise you could solder the actuator shut that set it off but that would be a lot of stuffing around. I think it's a sealed unit anyways.

As far as I know the seat belt warnings for any car can't be disables as its part of ADR's. You could do what a fair few police do and others that sit by the road with engine running for long periods of time.. that's to find an old seat for your model car at the wreckers etc and then cut the buckle off it and just stick it into the clasp when ya not wearing the belt.

Easiest way around this, is to use the seatbelt as it was designed for. Put it on before you turn the key. If you don't want to put it on in the driveway, then you'll have to put up with the dings.

I have a solution, plug the seatbelt in before you get in the car so it thinks that it has been put on! The all you have to do is put up with sitting on it.

            Mine only chimes 3 times...

Yep you can vag com it off under instrument coding. I did this to my 07 Jetta as I found it annoying.
