"Australian Warranty Network" - I was doubtful they would pay out after reading all the horror stories on the web about them, but they came through. Also must recommend SVS Auto Care on the Sunshine Coast who are doing the work - absolutely brilliant to deal with. Super friendly and communicative and were willing to help out all the way. I'm sure the work will be performed without any problems

So it's just gone from bad to worse.
I was an hour away from picking up the car today when I got a call from the service place. The ABS pump now also has to be replaced which costs $2000 plus $950 to get it programmed. Now because the warranty people had already agreed to pay out the first failure (the ABS sensor module), they are refusing to pay out the additional failure. They only pay out the first failure, not anything connected to it. So now I am without a vehicle for the foreseeable future as I don't have $3k to drop
This is a very common issue with the Mk5 Golfs and there are many, many stories of the same issue especially in the UK.

VW are aware of the issue as they have been contributing 70% and sometimes 100% towards the cost of the repair, but I can't find anything on the net from people with the same issue in Australia. Has anyone heard of this specific failure and know where I should proceed to from here?
Pretty bloody depressed now as I've only had the car 6 months or so
