Anyone had one done yet? I received a letter dated July 1 advising my Jetta was one of the vehicles affected and I would be advised when the required parts would be available. Haven't heard any more.

You will receive a second letter soon stating that your parts are in stock and it will advise you to book in with the closest dealer and bring both your letters.

I guess, some people need to hear the answer at least 2x, otherwise I can't explain why some people ask the same question more than once, starting multiple threads.

If they did a search as the sticky says to do they wouldnt even have to post. There are umpteen threads in all VW model Forums about it.

To answer your question, yeah. Received second letter about a month after the first and had the recall done last Friday week, so be patient. Car felt the same on the short drive home, although the exhaust light flashed momentarily from lights on the way. So I called the serving dealership and was told it's probably from the ecu update and to keep an eye on it. Have had this, new clutch pack and new timing chain done in last couple of months, so l hope it's all good from now.
