R32 - where to buy in Sydney

Hi all,

I ordered a BMP 3 door DSG R32 in the middle of last year. To cut a long story short, I was stuffed around by Chatswood Classic and ended up canning my order. Unfortunately for me, the bug wont let bloody go so I am looking at trying again. Any good dealers (Barlow world?) and good deals around at the moment in Sydney?

I hope not to have to wait 5 months or whatever I was quoted originally either. Might need to be flexible with the options though...

I never trust delivery dates and luckily found the exact spec car i wanted on a showroom floor 2km from home.

i feel your pain... ccc stuffed me round too car was 1.5 months late. mccarrolls in hornsby were good to me when we bought our first car.

although how long do you want to keep yoru car? if you plan on keeping it for more than 5 yrs it might be worth it trying to find one thats been sitting in a car yard for a couple years and you'll get a deal.

perhaps also try barloworld at five dock, yes have a look at new cars in stock on carsales and also demo / near new vehicles.

I should be able to get a 10% fleet discount for the company I work for (certainly CCC were going to give me one), so i probably should be able to get the same price as a demo.

Try www.privatefleet.com.au. I didn't use them but someone else on the forum recommended them. They contact all the VW dealers so if someone's got it in stock they'll find out.

The dealers can find out who has stock too at a glance, also what is on the docks, on ships etc, if u find a good salesman who knows u are going to buy then he will do whatever to get u the car. I got mine transported to melbourne from port macquarie as it was the spec i wanted and they had to do a trade for the grey one to get it.

if u are eligible for fleet discount then id not bother with private fleet, will cost u $500 when u can just do it yourself, and put the $500 to better use.

Very true, I was told a week prior to expected delivery that it was going to be another 2 months - this was after repeatedly asking for a VIN number and asking CCC to formalize my loan by submitting said VIN number, in order for the paper work to be completed. The paper work never was completed and as a result, expired. Needless to say, I was less than impressed and the order was canned.
