  • New Jetta

    Hi Guys

Finally, I've realised what a nice car really is and have ordered a Jetta Black TFSI, leather and Sunroof.

After a number of Holdens, I've finally seen the light and will be coming over to the good side. Had enough of the poor quality, poor ride, poor everything actually.

Can't wait. Still can't work out how to track a Jetta order. The site http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTrac...trackType=Auto doesn't work for me. Is there another that I can use for the Jetta.

I had it ordered in Late Nov or Early Dec and asked for a 08. I'm told it is on the ship but the date keeps getting pushed back. I have a VIN Number, Comm number and chassis number that I can use the track. Can anyone help.

I'm so looking forward to it, even though it is going to be my wife's car I picked it, did all the reasearch and just love it. She liked it also

    Many thanks

congrats and welcome! i think its different tracking a jetta order because they come from the mexico plant as opposed to the wolfsburg and south african plants...

Congrats, I ordered the same thing last week (swap the sunrrof for bi-xenons).

I can't wait to get hold of it.

I have been told May/June (it isn't being built till mid-march).
Jetta 2.0TFSI, Black, DSG, Leather, Bi-Xenons...... Loving it!!

A little embarrassing but I'm upgrading from a VS Commodore Wagon. Probably only worth about $50 now.

My wife's has a Mitso****i Lancer, which has been very reliable but is a painfully slow 4cyl Auto. This will now become my train station car.

So a big step up for us.

I have a large property so I might just keep the wagon for when I need to tow.

The only thing that annoyed me about the Jetta when I had my test drive was the fact that my brain couldn't get around the fact the the indicators were on the other side. Also the foot rest for the right foot, Just got in the way. I'll get used to it I'm sure. Other than that, I just love em.

I used to have a VS Commodore, but now I have (and still drive... 2 minutes to the golf club!) a VY wagon. Jumping between our Golf GTI and the Commodore is not a problem for me... it's second nature. My parents have a problem, though...!

I'm like you Steve I never have much of a prob getting into a Euro car from an Aus car.

Only the odd occasion I get caught out

Tarkus - perhaps a Tiguan or Passat wagon is in your bush bashing/towing future

                Yeah,

I like the passat, I'd have to go for the 4Motion 3.2 version.

Then Skoda have come up with some good cars also. I like the Octavia but I think it has the 1.8 TFSI. Seems a bit low in power for a wagon.

Web site suggests 118kw which is a fair way down on the 2.0 TFSI in the jetta, 147 kw, same as my current wagon.

The 1.8TFSI motor in the Octavia wagon is quite a nice drive (and faster than I expected), but the 2.0TFSI 147Kw Octavia RS wagon is even nicer ("If much is good, more is better" Plenty of power (and significantly lighter than the Passat wagon), but only available in FWD. 4WD is a diesel only option in Octavia wagons in Oz (so far at least).
2017 MY18 Golf R 7.5 Wolfsburg wagon (boring white) delivered 21 Sep 2017, 2008 Octavia vRS wagon 2.0 TFSI 6M (bright yellow), 2006 T5 Transporter van 2.5 TDI 6M (gone but not forgotten).
