Yep - Finally got my GTI 4.00PM Friday 1/2/2008 and Loven it! Classic White, 4dr, Leather, Sunroof, Ipod Adapter(Yes its a bit half arsed!) Tint and Boot Inlay. Still waiting for my new Black Plates(silver lettering) GTI08T. I am hoping they will blend in on the front a little better that the white (black lettering)
By 4:00PM Friday 8/2/2008 it already had 1124km on the clock (started at 23km)
Unfortunately it has been a tough week for the poor little thing. Some BASTARD did a hit and run - backed into the rear bar with a towball on Friday Morning.
Thankfully it is only damaged below the paint line. Still VERY dissapointing though.
Anyhow, I have been sticking a fair amount of boot in to run her in. I used a 4000rpm limit until arouns 200km, then 4500rpm until around 500 and have now (over 1000km) hit 5500rpm on a few occasions. It is definitely starting to loosen up - It gets on boost much quicker at low rpm now.

I know it looks just like every other white GTI (with tint) But here is a couple of pics for those that always seem to ask. With all the rain she has been absolutely filthy from the minute I drove out of the lot. Good clean and polish and she looks like new again. Actually a little better than new with the polish!
Well Itried to post some pics - but can't get em down to the 19.5k???? They look like postage stamps!!!
