  • Help with finding out what this is please

Come back from happy laps and noticed this sound from the engine: Vid Here
Not sure what it is, coming from back of engine area. Kinda sounds like a steam train.
Thought i would ask on here as it may of happened to someone else.
Revs normal from what i can tell, not being a mechanical guy doesnt help .
    Any help would be great.

I would think maybe something is loose, but taking it a dealer/service centre/repairer to have a look would always be a good idea

      Maybe the water pump?
I would be taking it to the specailist to see what they think.

Im sure he didn't ask on here to be told to take to a dealer (last resort), that's why these forums are here to help.

How about an idler, tensioner or other bearing. Use a stethoscope or long screwdriver for a better pinpoint to noise.

Just as I am sure that internet mechanics aren't very likely to be able to diagnose the issue based off a blacked out video and some strange steam train sound.

In the end it would probably have to go to the specialist to be fixed anyway.
