Funny how people don't mention the friendly VW Parts Department. I just got a set for my Jetta for a bit less than $200 ex Sydney - next day delivery if ordered by 11:00am (Highway VW).
Problem with O/S is the wait / the possibility of getting a LHD version or a China Knock off.
But can be had for around $150, just ensure shipping does not get out of hand - cost wise...

like you say..always good to check VW gen first.. they actually do quite a lot of stuff cheaper than you would expect but then throw you by wanting $50 for a rubber bung!
