  • MkV r32 seats into jetta?!

Hey fellas, have the opportunity to get some mkv leather r32 seats that are electronic (not 100% sure if they're heated) to go into the jetta. (Jetta is cloth with manual adjustments)

Is it plug and play or will the electric seats have a different loom?
Is it possibly to hook the electric part up via some other 12v line somewhere?
I want the airbags to be able to be deployed too.

    Am I dreaming?
    Cheers.

airbags will straight fit at connectors so no worries there.. for the electrics you would have to start from scratch as yours are manual seats there will not be loom there at all... might be able to work out what you needed with a wiring diagram.. the seat has the motors and switches on it so you would suspect all you would need were powers and earths to make it play...VDUB...

Good ideas. Ill see if I can get the vin.
I assume an auto electrician could help with the wiring.
Won't throw any codes if the seats aren't plugged in properly?

RE: MkV r32 seats into jetta?!

Some people refer to the standard R32 seats as electric due to the lumbar support and heating. There was also the option of electric tracks and tilt. Either way, there will be some electrics as the seat heaters are controlled from the dash.

              MkV r32 seats into jetta?!

So does that mean the forward and back adjustment is still done manually from the front of the seat? I thought that part was electric. If not I'm ok with not having the lumbar and heating option to begin with. Does it affect the seatbelt chimes at all?

ask the seller what electrics the seats have..... airbags ok..seat chime is done by the seatbelt wiring on drivers seat u should have already and passenger seat us by a weight mat in the seat base that you should already have i the car standard.. heating the seats you would need extra controls etc but lumba support should be a easy wire up... ask the seller more mate ...VDUB...
