Sorry if this has been answered elswhere, how can I identify what type of DSG (6 speed) is in my MY10 Jetta 103 TDI. I have VCDS printout so if info is there perhaps someone could point me to it.

My educated guess would be DQ250. 200 is the 7spd low torque dry clutch gearbox. DQ500 is found in larger vehicles (4WD/commercial, etc).Comment

If it is the 7 speed DSG unit having all the dramas, what is the problem with the earlier ones?
