Mk5 Golf Interior Question - Do Mk6 seats fit Mk5 (Front) ?

what i want to know is will the mk 6 golf seats fit straight into a mk 5 golf?

Yeah they will. They're essentially the same floorpan.

Only concern would be with the seat airbags.

i have now fitted a set of mk 6 gti seats into my 2.0 tdi and they fitted perfectly as well as the wiring connectors.

no airbag problems that i can see.

and i fitted front and rear seats.

Nice. Really want to do this down the track. I'm guessing these are the manually adjustable seats?
And just how much better do they feel?!

Also - belt wise do they all fit? I've changed seats in a different car (not vw) and the belts would not clip it.

these are manually adjustable seats.
i think that they are much nicer than the standard comfortline golf seats. they definitley feel better..
seatbelt wise they work fine. i used the original mk 5 retractable part and the mk 6 ones that were already on the seats.

i was expecting problems , but didnt run into any, i suppose it would be the same for any mk 5 if you wanted to put mk 6 seats in...
