My left head light is sitting to high. Can they be adjusted.

Yes. There is two nuts/bolts at the bottom of the headlights.
One is on left side (towards radiator) and you need to remove just plastic grille with VW badge to adjust them.
For right side one you need to remove a little bit of front bumper to adjust plastic nut/bolt which is located bottom of the light.
For ease finding you can see at the picture two holes with black plastic nuts.
One down and one left - That is it:

I looked at the head light today and check the adjustment and found that it was adjusted to the down limit. So I checked the globe and found that someone had put glob in the wrong way! So all fixed now and thanks again.
