Convoy in Tassie!

Saw a convoy of brand new VWs heading from Devonport towards Launceston yesterday afternoon. At a closing speed of ~220kph it was difficult to make accurate observations but I can tell you:

*They were all brand new models
*They had continental type number plates
*There were ~ 20 of them
*I drooled

Does anybody know anything?

Only just noticed this, was for the Jetta launch in Hobart IIRC.
