Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • AP Filters mk5

Hey everyone! I'm about to do a service on my turbo dsg jetta and was wondering if anyone has any experience with AP Filters? Was going to get the fuel, oil and cabin pollen filter done. Hopefully someone has some info. Google doesn't seem to wanna help haha.

    Cheers

    Never heard of AP Filters.

Why not go OEM... My TDI Oil filters is only like $19. Sump plug is $4.
Get your VW Approved oil from SuperCheapAuto or Repco.

Yeah ill be buying my oil from supercheap but I'm looking for a full filter kit minus air filter. But yeah not keen on oem as their prices are most likely really dear. Tdi probably has a cheaper filter.

I just turn up on the doorstep with cash usually. Make sure you have your VIN because they can't work without it.

It's a bit awkward to say no face to face.
