Boot closing onto bumper

Hi all,

when opening the boot i noticed that the paint seems to have started flaking on the bottom edge. On closer inspection i noticed marks on the bumper too.
It seems that the boot lid closes too low and therefore rubs the bumper. Is this something i can easily adjust myself?

Does the bumper look out of line with other panels like the rear quarters?
Or the lid look out of line with any of the quarter panels?
I'd work out which one is incorrect first.
There should be some adjustment in the bolts that hold them down

You'll need a panel beater.

Adjusting the hatch so it doesn't scrape onto the bumper will displace it off the rubber seal which could let exhaust gas into the cabin. Very very bad.
