Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Actually Poyta's mod's were what first opened my mind to the idea of mod's, his mod's turned his GT into something very special, beautiful car.

Yeah wish I had a GT myself, but again in the same situation you were in at the start, price was out of my range
Also the fact I would've been better to keep my evo if I was chasing power
Everyone has different goals for their cars, main thing is it always brings a smile to your face when you see it

Fair enough, well done for finding all of those parts used - I certainly tried when I was doing my car and couldn't so had to pay mostly brand new prices so I know how much they can cost. Kudos to you.

A set of 18" Detroits would really set your car off I must say, more than those detroits - the shiny chrome look would go well with your front grille. May even know someone willing to sell theirs.....hint hint

            Cheers Poyta,

I'd love some Detroits, I agree they'd set my car off, I've got to find the cash (wanna buy an iPad 3 Retina and some high end Sony headphones?)

Looks exxactly like my Jetta now mate. They look good in black. Can I ask you one question. Where did you get the new headlights from because I would really love to put a set of those (with halogen bulbs) in mine to set the front off. Mine will essentially look exactly the same as yours now.

R32 has a protruding centre section finished in a satin silver finish, the Golf shown here has a recessed centre section finished in bright chrome. The side vents in the Golf feature driving lights and have a more upturned finish ( more like a smiley face ) whereas the R32' has no driving lights and has more of a down turned finish ( frowning ) plus the vents also attach to the central aluminium grille while the Golf's are abruptly cut off .
                          Two completely different front bars.

Im aware of the differences mate, theres plenty of them. However there is a similar styling there.
