After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

the headunit will support mp3 cds, whereas 07 and prior does not. apart from that, i'm not sure what else is different. i remember reading there is a post about this somewhere.Originally posted by GTI_future View Postmk2 GTI 16v -

They've also changed the rims from 18" Zolder to 18" Omanyl and i *think* the 'R' badge at the bottom of the steering wheel is new.
The MP3 CD and newer rims were my only reasons for waiting an extra month before i bought the car

I missed the end of the OP saying "GTI". Doh! Sorry... i don't know about the GTI rims.

They have a full size MFD, but apparently it doesn't display the gears anymore.
