  • Warranty Question

ey there well what sparked this thread is chatswood classic cars is always completely full of crap about the length of time they keep my car and tbh i genuinely believe 99% of their service staff know nothing about cars and their customer service is horrible.

so my question - if a warranty issue arrises, is it possible to take it to the dealer for diagnosis and then have the part ordered and take the car and the part to a euro automotive specialist to have them fit the part instead of the stealer?

if so, anyone know any workshops that actually know something about the mkv golfs? i assume seb works on the spankin new ones too?

VW have authorised service/repair centers, just like Apple do for an iPod. Unless your alternative is a VW authorised workshop, you've got no hope of them paying for the work to be done or providing you the part under warranty. Have a look on their website. I know in some country area's you get authorised centers without a dealer attached... but unlikely in the city. You just need to find a smallish dealership where you can talk to the tech's. You'll quickly figure out who's in to VW's at dealers, and these are the guys you want working on your car.

        Ccc

If you dont like CCC then why do you go there? Ive had good experience from them. Quite expensive, but the everything is attended to. .. I bought my car from Penrith. I you want something to be paid for by VW then you MUST go to their service outlets. Thats how it is for anything you buy. If you dont like someone or something you can always contact VW Assist.
