theyre stupidly expensive!
oempl.us sell them for over $2500US for the set! Theyre probly close to $1000 a corner here or something stupid.
Id either wait for a set to pop up second hand. Which they do tend to from time to time. Or pick some nicer aftermarket rims.

Yeah, the MTM Bi Turbo rims look very farkin' noice on the current golf. About the same money as the OEM's and a better looking rim, IMHO. One of the guys here has them on a TDI - http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/newf...cca+motorsport . Sexiest after market rim, IMO.
OEM rim weights *can* be deceptive. I know the current 18"s on the Golfs are heavier than most after market, but my last car there was one manufacturer producing a rim lighter than the OEM - Oz - and you had to buy the full competition spec wheel; the touring version worked out 1/2kg heavier than the OEM.

From http://http://www.tempetyres.com.au/...=&part_no=1482:
"Info: Wheels arrive with VW or Audi centre badge. These are not original wheels however they are an EXACT replica. They are made with the same fine materials as the original wheels and carry a comprehensive Lifetime Structual Warranty."
How 'EXACT' was it? As far as I know the 'EXACT' R32 wheels where 18x7.5 not 18x8 n:
Good price though =)

18x8 is better than 18x7.5! more rigid sidewall...Originally posted by PM_ View PostFrom http://http://www.tempetyres.com.au/...=&part_no=1482:

Yes, REALLY good price.
Nice looking wheels, but look a bitch to keep clean. I actually still like the Mk4 R32 wheels2007 Golf GT | DSG | TR | roof | iPod rubbish | R line fog grilles | R satin mirror caps | R pedals | R console trim | colour coded GTI valences | R32 Ormanyts

I'm with you, balkanac. Even my GT's brakes do that. Give them a nice clean and then a quiet lap 'round the block to spin the water off, and the rears (particularly) are covered in chunky black spots. Grrr...Originally posted by balkanac View PostMK4 R32 wheels are just as bad, especially coz of the big brakes and the amount of dust that is coming off them!!! Unbeliavable!!! I think i'll go EBC Greenstuff pads, apperently much less dust
I'd love to hear how the EBCs go... perhaps you could post your impressions?2007 Golf GT | DSG | TR | roof | iPod rubbish | R line fog grilles | R satin mirror caps | R pedals | R console trim | colour coded GTI valences | R32 Ormanyts
