  • Audi S6 Daytime Running Lights Fitted to Golf GT?

these LED DRL's come fitted to the new S6 and many have put them in the lower section of their grills on golfs which lack fog lights (r32's mainly) and imo they look great. just wandering on everybody's thoughts on fitting them to my gt which does in fact have fog lights or if i should consider sacrificing my fogs in place of these drl's? would it look too busy to have them both there?

what they look like on an r32:

where i would fit them to my GT:
    70
Fit the DRL's as well as the current fog lights
    0%
    15
Fit the DRL's instead of the fog lights
    0%
    23
    Forget the DRL's

Do you have a pic of the S6 DRL units? I'm curious as to how they look/constructed.

Oh, and I reckon the way they are depicted on the R32s look better. That said, if I had a GT, I wouldn't get rid of the fogs for the DRLs!

Looks very hot on those two R32s - I think you need to sort out a more aggressive looking front end and/or wheels before you go the S6 lights..

Looks a bit tacky on a standard GT IMO.

If your going to do that remove the actual fog lights down the bottom otherwise it looks like a 4X4 with all the lights

I'd personally not bother as you already have fog lights. Also without white Xenons or HID bulbs to match the kit it looks pretty silly. Also the kit on the R32 looks much better as the lights are down low. Up that high as per your photoshop doesn't look quite right.
                        Cheers,
                        Trent

lol at old thread but x1000!! i'm sure you could get the no fog light inserts pretty easily for the lower. then you can use the same cable for the DRL's that ran to your fogs.

                              would look awesome!

                              anyone done this yet??
