  • Mk5 jetta wheel offset help

    if my stock rims are 16x6.5 offest 50 what offset can i put with 17's to fit , i was planning to get some 17x8-8.5 for front and 17x9-9.5 any suggestions ?

    Most guys here run 18x8.5et45 all round from memory.
    so 8.5et45front and 9.5et45-50 should be ok.

    but all depends on how you want it to sit, how low you are, how you want it to look and so one

    Check out silver dubs jetta on the alphards. they were 18x8.5et35 and 9.5et40 for reference but a pretty aggressive fit

      i plan to put springs onto the car to lower it abit , i want the rims to tuck in nicely and the back rims to pop out just abit.

        well 8.5et45 and 9.5et50 should be ok I guess.
        just make sure there is room to the strut on the rears

          I have 18x8, offset 45 alloy wheels which I bought on Ebay for $900 landed and originally fitted 235 profile tyres which rubbed on the back over big bumps, so then fitted 225s which are fine. The Jet has been lowered 1.8 inches and only rubs on the front with a bit of lock on and going through a gutter or sharp bump. I think they look cool...
