Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Wheel swap?

    Hi folks,
I have the original Jetta ('0"17" wheels but I like the look of the GTi Denver (i think) wheels ( the curved 5 spoke ones).
Could someone tell me if they would fit on the Jetta?
Anyone after a swap? or know of cheap ones for sale?
    Sorry about all the questions
    PS I live in Brisbane
    Thanks

Denver's are the 17" matte version.
Detroits are hte 18" versions with the machined face.

Might help if you clarify what ones you are after from those two.

Keep an eye on ebay and the forums here to see if there are any up for sale.

Denvors (17" GTI wheels) pop up on ebay and this forum all the time, sometimes very cheap. But yeah I agree with the above I am not much of a fan of Denvors on a Jetta. How about charlestons? My brother has them on his Jetta and they look pretty good.
