Of course I didn't believe it . I just wanted to see if they were willing to say anything about it yet, in which case it might be coming soon (of course to be fair to Ellen, correct info might not be available to many people within VWA yet).

Seems like VWA have done a back flip, as they specifically stated back in July/August they would not be bringing the car in due to "cooling" problems.

Had my first service this morning and spent some time speaking to one of the sales guys who showed me the photos of the Pirelli GTi - also told me each dealership is getting 11 each to be sold 2nd Quarter 2008.

Going to pick up my car now, looking forward to feeling the difference without the "run-in" oil....

Still, VW aren't normally known for being adventurous with their colour palettes - I mean, a choice of 5 colours on the GTI is piss-poor. And if you don't regard black, silver or white as real colours, that leaves red and (close to black) blue. Big deal!
Go check out the choices of colours at Mazda or Peugot. VW ought to be ashamed - particularly considering their market share.
On top of that, you have a choice of 20 colours if you buy a VW commercial! How does that work?

guys, the prielli is not just a super chipped GTI. It's the EDITION 30 which means it has the AUDI S3 engine, capable of 300hp via super chip mapping...

if i had lots of money i would get the pirelli and then repaint it to BLACK MAGIC. but, i aint got that money so looks like staying with my GIAC X tuned GTI for now
