  • iPod not recognised by RCD300 last week. Advice on reset RCD300 please

    Hi Folks,

Had my Jetta since 2008 (new) which had dealer fitted iPod cable through glove box. Last week I unpluged the iPod to connect to iTunes and change some playlists. I may have disconnected befor changing Head unit to a radio band from CD mode.

Since reconnecting the head unit says "NO CD" when I press CD mode (even multiple times). I have reset the iPod. I believe the head unit RCD300 is the issue as it will not play from my iPhone either (which it has in the past).

I called the dealer the advised against disconnecting the battery as it would set of a lot of warning lights apparently. They said the RCD300 would need resetting.

Is it possible to reset at home ? Any other solutions ? I've considered may be removing the fuse and replacing ?

    Cheers

Where abouts in Victoria are you?

My mate is the service manager at Dwyers VOlkswagen in Bairnsdale (East Gippsland). Possibly the most remote VW dealer in Australia. If you are any where near there he'll fix it for free.

        Hi Sehr Gut GTi
How did you go with the Ipod issue, was it resolved?
I have a similar problem, except mine stopped working when I upgraded to an RCD510
        Cheers
