Passenger door handle issue

Hopefully someone has come across this poblem and can assist.

I've tried the search function, but to no avail....

Installed the front door warning lights today and have subsequently discovered the external front passenger door handle requires a double pull to open the door. Everything went back together OK and did the obligatory testing of all the functions when I put it all back together. Changed the coding per Mav's site and this issue has emerged.

Any ideas guys?

Nobody? Guess I will have to pull it apart again and see if anything has come adrift.

That's normal for the passenger internal . if you have not turned off the ignition.
But for the outside you have me stumped.

Passenger door handle issue

Some times the cable from the inner lock which attach to the handle is over adjusted. Take off you door handle unclip the cable and refit with no tension leave it with some slack in the cable. Retest. Cheers.

@ian - doesn't this only apply if the coding is active and the car exceeds 15 km/h?

@grtuned - thought I would try the lazy way first

So I removed the coding before trying to disassemble the door again, tried the handles and all worked as it should. Both internal and external. Hmmmm.... ok. Put the coding back on to activate the warning light, mainly to see if this issue would recur. Guess what? It didn't. Go figure. But everything seems all good, so thanks to those who offered advice.
