And tyres, i live by yokahama AD08s, dunlop direzza z1 stars, kuhmo v700s, only these specific ones!!
They have the best grip in wet condition, by saying this, they have awesome grip in dry! Obviously i have to make a sacrifice in the longevity but i still get bout average 40k km from either. Depends how hard u rape them.....

Thanks for the info. I see plenty of dubbers running around on 'fakies' so there must be a lot of people out there who're 'trying to be cool' as you put it.

True, but if you have that belief then theres no point having a build thread....as the purpose of one is to show the community what ya doing (a subtle form of showing off) and trying to gain reviews and comments from them. U will need to understand that judgemental impressions will be made based on the decisions and mods u make. There is no doubt that i agree with ur belief of doing what to u believe in however, i just try and tell people, "if you gonna do something, do it right the first time". It will save you grief, money and time...Trust me i know!!!

This brings me to the topic of $$$, if you cannot afford the real deal, then change styles not qaulity.... Get a set of enkies, oz, rays or even original OEMs from another car manufacturer...... Atleast you doing something that wont affect quality and your safety!
But agian generally speaking if someone gets reps, they get look down upon as it does not make sense why they would buy cheaper versions....
If its because u dont have enough $$$ now, save it and keep working until u get enough $$$. Atleast this shows true dedication in building your car "right the first time".
Rather than being a cheap ass and get reps, just to make people think ya baller when really ur not....
Thats why we all work hard and save up to get these rims, despite people saying their so expensive....its not the item that satisfy us, its the journey of getting them!!!

I dont own one set of fakes or knock off and iv never spent more than $450 on a set of wheels.... ebay, gumtree and forums are your friend for bargains.

Its like shopping op shop. You can go to kmart and buy some $19 jeans that will rip the first time you wear them or you can go to an opshop. Buy a pair that someone else has purchased for $112 and pick them up for the bargain pice of $7 that will last x27 longer than the $19 kmart jeans. The $7 jeans will be cool, get the chicks, wont fall apart and people wont think your'e cheap.
