  • What would you pay for this??

Hi! I hope this is the right section for this (I did search price guide and couldn't really find anything apart from Mk6 Dealer pricing). And I'm not selling or wanting to buy from anyone here (the classifieds are for that), I'm just trying to find out what the market for these cars is like currently.

Just wanting to know what a current average private price for a 2007 Mk5 Gti would be with the following specs.

    40k-50k
    manual
    full log books, serviced regularly
    no visible damage
base model gti (ie. no leather, sunroof, etc.)

I've checked carsales but what they are advertised for and what they sell for a two completely different things.

    Thanks heaps.

Most seem to be around the $20,000-25,000 mark.

I would say closer to the 20k mark. Also, if i could have my time again, i would get a 2008 onwards. Also, prob spend the extra and get leather/sunroof but definitely 2008+

Having the same problem, looking at a 2007 gti, leather, 45km, manual pretty much spot on-wont budge from 24 k though- not sure if it's quite worth that much...? Or does that seem fair? Also why does, the above say try and get a 2008 on? Cheers in advance.

It seems to be the price hey. I'm happy to pay 23k for one with 44kms full standard but in excellent condition. I guess if you are prepared to pay that much and you think its worth it, do it. And I'm not sure about the other post about going 2008 onwards either.

Indeed. I now have minewas 22500,but had to pay for a service which she had done at VW on top, would have done this anyway i guess. 07/2007 Silver, leather 43500ks, serviced by the book, pretty ace nick, except for a few little marks here and there- to be expected.
Might have to replace a back door lock module, but still could not get a budge on price!! oh well. Been driven by a 55/60 year old lady the last few years, so dont think it has been driven too hard! Love it

2007 Mk5 Gti For Sale Price – Australia

I think the buying price is nearer 20K than 25K

But for me great value at both these prices and if I was wanting to buy a 2007 Mk5 Gti I would not be put off by a 25K price

What would you pay for this??

Got my MY09 GTI with leather and sunroof for $17,990 inc. onroads. Too bad the DSG and Mechatronics was gone. All covered by statutory warranty. Managed to get MkVI running gear fitted as they don't do complete MkV boxes anymore. So $17,990 for a MkV with a MkVI DSG.

Yeah nice, that sounds excellent. Still happy with mine, hard to find cars in tassie, so ease of it all was a factor
