MKV GTI aircon problem

Hey guys,

Just bought an '07 GTI and I'm having a problem with the AC.

No matter what combination of settings i try, no air is blowing out of the vents. However, it sounds like air is blowing somewhere behind the glove box, although thr car temperature in the car doesn't change.

I just wanted to see if I am completely missing something before I take it back to the dealership...

As long as you have the correct air setting (vents) selected and they're open then it should be lowing air out of them. A diagnostic scan will show up whether the vent motors have failed.

Hey eplurbisunum,

Do you happen to know if the climatronic unit has been changed? As i know a coding issue exists as the new part does or doesn't (have to have a look into that) have a specific part that the old one had. Anyway the symptoms from memory are no air flow from any of the vents, although the blower is working. May be completely irrelevant, but if you give me your vin i can load it on elsapro and check to see if any tpi's are listed for that concern,

I turned my car off and went back to it a few hours later and it's working now. Hopefully this was a one off.

James, I will pm you my VIN so you can double check.
