  • Jetta seats in a Golf

    Hello All,

Looking at installing some leather seats from a 1K Jetta in my 2005 Golf. I'm assuming the fronts will be fine, but the rears may not fit ....

    I'd appreciate any advice.

Agreed - the fronts shouldn't be a problem, the rears most likely won't fit - I'd suggest the lower cushions may be ok but the backs may not fit.
Note that unless you get the climatronic module with the heated seats control you won't be able to use the heated seats - I'm assuming the wiring is all there for that though (that and the electric lumbar). if you want I can have a look at what connections I currently have - I assume there is an airbag connector and a power/heater one.

I replaced the original tartin seats in my gti with original gti leather seats, and you won't have the wiring for the heated seats or the electronic lumbar support (it's manual on non leather models). You can get them wired up but it's a lot of stuffing around, particularly for the heated seats because you will need a new climate control module which has the extra buttons. Personally I didn't bother getting either wired up and it has caused no problems, just so long as the drivers seat has been set at good lumbar setting prior to been taken out of the donor car.
