I've been searching everywhere and cannot find any information that tells me the brand and model of the turbo in the 2008 Golf GT Sport 2.0 TDI 125kw with DSG.

I would assume that it's the same as the 103kW TDI, Garret VNT15.

I found here that the 125kW/170hp TDI uses a Garrett GTB1749VM turbo charger.- Ben

so the gt tdi has a different turbo to the 103tdi afterall then?
