Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

  • Intake kit

    Hi
Where can I get an intake kit (BMC, Forge etc) in Australia?

I've looked around the forums and most of the places are in USA or UK and the shipping is costly..

    Thanks in advance

The BSH kit can be bought from dubaddiction
    BSH 2.0T FSI True Seal Intake (also suits K04 powered cars) [BSH-BPY-CAI] - $379.00 : Dub Ad·dic·tion [duhb uh-dik-shuhn]

though allot of people have had the dreaded whistle due to harmonics created by the diverter relocation bung on the elbo to the turbo, including me, however there is an easy mod to it.

or there is the Volant intake.
Which i am seriously considering, just cause it doesnt have that stupid DV bung, and that cause its made of plastic isnt affect as much as a tube made from aluminium
VW Golf R & Gti Intake
GTI MKV, 3 pedals >D, black, leather, K04 APR tune , APR RSC tbe, BSH CAI, Bilsteins sports shocks, H&R sports springs, wavetrack LSD, H&R sway bars, and painted that stupid looking matt black plastic bumbers and side skirts to match the paint of the car

Cheers. Sorry I didn't state in my post that I have a MKV R32. I've found a bmc cda on demon tweeks. So if there's no cheaper option I might order one from there.
