Golf GTI Specs Update

Hi, sorry if this question is basic. I might be looking for a used GTI with DSG, has the GTI received any updates since 2004? (Launch control or anything you can think of). I'm new to VW since my car is a honda, and I gladly appreciate your inputs =D

there have been minor model year changes.

apparently from MY07 (ie from end of 06):
- no active head restrain, no DSG cooler and no projector style front fog light (replaced with helogen type), buttons on steering wheels has changed slightly, no forged piston, reduction of compression ration from 10.5 to 10.3, bigger turbo.

between MY07 to MY08:
- 6cd changer will now play MP3 files, full MDF on the instrument panel, slight change to antenna. blue graphite colour to replace shadow blue.

Hmm, sounds like VW is trying to cut production costs. No DSG cooler and no forged pistons are bad news for those who mod the engine? I have found some excellent 04-05 GTI, do I need to worry whether the DSG fluid has been changed or not? Thanks
