After market air filters

Any one got any thoughts on putting after market air filters in their tdi's
such as K & N for example do they makes any improvement in performance or is it all in the mind, do they keep the dust out as good as the stock one.

The best thing about the K&N is you can wash and re-use, saving money over time on buying new replacements.

Power gain is normally very minimal (i think a tdi would be even less). The K&N should be looked after and oiled otherwise its filtering abilities become hindered.

In the end, the OEM filters do the job just right and aren't 'inferior'.

I believe that there is going to be a CAI and POD made for the TDI in the new year.

Currently in design and testing phase.

I want a new exhaust!
