CV Boots split and rear engine mount cracked

Hi,

I got off the phone this afternoon to my mechanic (vw/ euro specialist) and he said that both my CV boots are split and that my rear engine mount has a crack in it and will require replacing.

My car has a light tune (bluefin) and has just reached 130k.

Has anyone else had similar issues with their MKV GTI? is it an expensive job?

cv boots are no surprise. The rear engine mount im assuming they mean the pendulem mount and will also wear, especially if driven hard.

Sounds pretty normal to me.

Labour-intensive work, but the parts will be cheap-ish.

Thanks guys.. I don't really driver my car hard often but it is tuned so that probably puts more stress on the mounts under full throttle.
