Engine oil filter located ?

  • Engine oil filter located ?

    Last night i changed the engine oil for my jetta 2.0 TFSI ,
    i was trying to find where the oil filter located,keep looking around but still cant find it ,could anyone of you tell me where it located or any photo shown please ?

    Here you go.



    Oil filter, bigger circle, behind thermo fans, the other circle indicates location of the sump plug.

      Thank you very much for the pictures but how do you get the oil filter off, how come its got a big cone thing cover, or just get that cone off and the oil filter inside it ? are the oil filter are the same as japanese car ? this is my first european car i have .Thanks again !

        Check out these DIYs.

        Just in case you guys need some help with it. Use only for reference Edited on 7/28/09 for a cleaner filter housing removal Tools Jack & Stands (I wouldn't recommend the stock jack if your physically going under the car) Ratchet; 19mm & 1 1/2 or 36mm Standard 1/8": Oil Pan 5 qts of Oil...
