Golf GTI Sat Nav with touch screen

This is my first post so be gentle with me!

I've just ordered a GTI with Sat Nav after the salesman convinced me that mine would be delivered with the new touch screen version (RNS 510) currently only available in the Tourerg.

Have i been duped?

Current delivery time is expected to be around 4 months, which sucks but it will be worth the wait.

Re Sat nav - Get it in writing!!!!!!!

Don't know specifics about that model but get it in writing or you won't have a leg to stand on if they're pulling your leg!

IIRC a forum member got it in writing that his R32 would be delivered with the Aussie size plate holder - When it wasn't on there they had to source an entire front bar from a Japanese model because he made it part of the deal. Without you'll just get "too bad we said 'maybe' "

getting it in writing wont help if its not possible to fit it to a local car.
At the end of the day. is it a deciding factor? If it is then make sure of it by researching elsewhere perhaps or do get it in writing so then you can back out of the car if it comes without.

I did put the order in writing and clearly specified the Sat Nav was to be the touch screen version.

To be honest if it arrives with the current sat nav i'll not be disappointed.

Shame i have to wait 4 months!

Don't let on about that, it'll be a great bargaining tool!
