Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Warranty after 3 year Extended Warranty??

    Hi,

    My 2006 Golf GTI (90,000KM) is about to reach the end of the 36month extended warranty underwrote by Allianz.

    I don't think VW will offer another extended warranty.

    For a piece of mind, is there a bumper to bumper warranty I can buy from VW or another provider?

    have never heard of anything beyond the extra 3 years but I would try Allianz. Ask them directly if they offer anything. They may but it isn't common knowledge etc...

      I've looked into this as well and nope, Allianz will not offer any products once the extended warranty is out.
