VW specialist mechanic in Melbourne's west?

Hey all,

I've done a search and can't find any recommended workshops/mechanics in the west side of Melbourne... Does anyone have a recommendation? Or will I have to have a go at the likes of Audvolks/volkspower/volkswerke... I live in Footscray and work out in Laverton north!

I need to have the driver's door lock looked at (again) and also need a suspect oil cooler replaced.

Go and see kosi at at ultratune Caroline springs. He use to be service manager at barloworld sydney and bayside, but he hated working for someone else so bought a franchise and now his making his own $$$....he use to race in the GP cup when barloworld was in it but now he only races 12hr endurances....he knows his **** and he is good with prices.... While ur there check out his pimped caddy and race car!

Thanks for the suggestions.

Went with ultratune in Caroline springs (but spoke with Darren) since it was along the way to work for my boss, who came and collected me when I dropped my car off. He looked over the car for no cost. Really good guy.

Turns out there's nothing wrong with the car. no oil in the water (don't know what the dealers saw in there) but there is a black/brown deposit in the expansion tank. Not sure what it is but it apparently isn't oily. Maybe it's something that was there from the previous owner...

Just going to drive it and observe.
