Wheels mag comparo Jetta TDI vs Mazda 6 CRD

Has anyone read the comparo in the November edition of wheels?

Seems like the jounos were resonably happy with both cars

They mention that the Jetta DOES NOT have a DPF.

THis conflicts with what Barloworld indicated on my MY07 TDI.

Ccan anyone confim about DPF's with our TDIs?

My 07 Jetta PD TDI does not have DPF. I thought only the CRD TDI was to have it.

(CRD = common rail diesel, PD = Pump Deusse)

none of the golf/jetta diesels have it, EXCEPT the gt sport 125kw

HEHE I can confirm visually as I was following a friend's diesel Jetta and he floored it at a 100kmh signpost and a great cloud of black smoke belched from the tail pipe. Boy did he get to 100 quick, enveloped in a black cloud!
Bring on the bluetec-technology VW diesels!
