i was under the impression tyres that size were in the 300's and maybe low 400's for the top of the range

Yes I agree, so i went for Yokohama's around 400.

I just can't justify spending 800+ on a single tyre, and i don't even go on the track.

I'm just stunned, that R32 comes with and has uses for such expensive tires.

I guess i just don't know these black things well enough... still a bit shocked at 800.......

I agree that $800 per tyre is on the expensive side and something in the $400 range should be possible.

That said, I believe that when it comes to tyres you shouldn't scrimp on quality. They are the only thing between the car and the road and it's too late to wish you hadn't put cheap stuff on when you've already lost control in the wet.

                  Get quote for Hankook tyre.
I was quoted $550 each for my T5 in Michelin. Hankook was $195 and I like it better can't really fault them.
                  Performance Tunes from $850

if you're in sydney, try payless tyres in chatswood. Have been getting great quotes from there

I'm planning to go with the Goodyear Eagle F1's myself ($290 a corner)

Try Don Cornells in Bexley they are very cheap and they stock big brand names and also are very cheap! I got a quote for Goodyear Eagle ones for $140 in 16s

This is in Sydney by the way!
