Well the first one is Seb - sponsor on here and he could have been asked to put on a GIAC tune or a Unitronic (I left them off the list too) tune depending on when it was done but it is not the thing a workshop would do for a laugh it would have been requested by an owner. In any case I thought it had now been established that a Revo tune is on there anyway and that rules Seb/Euro Auto out
I might start locking my stuff too because I feel a bit left out

An APR dealer can easily flash over it (same as suggested that a GIAC dealer can) but of course there is a service charge - you never know, if you contact the original owner of the car (handbook or service records) your vehicle may already have a full tune installed (from any one of a number of providers).
Agreed here , not many vendors offer the trial so im sure if it has other software it has already been tuned?? Only time ive ever seen that code was with an ecu that had been flashed or corrupted in some way. Bluefin on a Mk5 is a piece of cake to be honest.

I suggest you go see your local bluefin dealer if you want to pursue that option, everyone is only guessing at this stage. It could be a bad hand held unit, it could be a bad Can Line from the OBD port, it could be a bad factory ECU.

Any specialist workshop should be able to do that.

If your still stuck I dont mind plugging in one of my boxes or cables just let see what's happening and let you know what your options are. It doesn't take more than a minute or two tops

Much as it pains me to do it I can see myself caving in and doing some full writes in the future.
